Alleged Secret Mind-Blowing Projects and Programs of Deep Antiquity and the Distant Future

There are many alleged secret projects that have swirled around the conspiracy world for decades, some involving UFOs, some involving aliens, and others concerning mind control. Without a doubt, though, some of the most intriguing and mind-blowing are those that involve, essentially, time travel and, more specifically, projects that have taken place in the future or the past – or both – with direct consequences to events in our contemporary era.

One of the most intriguing and thought-provoking alleged secret programs is undoubtedly the Ancient Arrow Project. And while the claims should be taken with a significant pinch of salt, they are intriguing nonetheless and certainly worthy of examination here.

The account begins, at least according to most sources, in early 1972 in the wilderness of New Mexico. Several college students were hiking somewhere in the remote desert when they suddenly stumbled upon a large canyon. Immediately intrigued, they investigated the area and found what they believed to be evidence of some kind of ancient settlement. Once they ventured inside the canyon, they found pieces of pottery and pictographs that appeared to confirm such a settlement. There were, though, even more enthralling discoveries.

They found, for example, a futuristic-looking compass-like device that looked like nothing any of the students had ever seen before. Furthermore, it was covered in hieroglyphic-like symbols and markings, similar to those discovered in the temples of ancient Egypt. So advanced and technical did this device appear that the students came to the realization that they had happened upon something completely out of the ordinary. They took the compass-like device with them in order to show it to an archaeologist at the University of New Mexico so that he could examine it. When he did so, he was as impressed as he was baffled. He, too, agreed that the device was technical in nature and that the discovery was potentially of great importance. He was so intrigued, in fact, that he asked the students to take him to the canyon so he could see it for himself.

(Not the actual compass)

His initial conclusion was that the settlement was likely home to a Native American tribe in prehistoric times. What’s more, he suggested that the settlement was a temporary one for a tribe that was either nomadic or migrating. He did, however, find the pictographs out of place in that they appeared to be from around the 700s – long after this speculative roaming tribe had inhabited the canyon. Furthermore, these pictographs were unlike anything he had seen before. What he ultimately realized was that the location was of great interest. And it wasn’t long before others had taken an interest in the previously undiscovered settlement.

Although it isn’t clear how, a short time after the discovery, the National Security Agency (NSA) became aware of the location. They put together a unit from the Advanced Contact Intelligence Organization (ACIO) and sent them to investigate – discreetly. What is interesting to note here is that some sources offer that the unit’s main agenda was to retrieve technologies of extraterrestrial origin. With this in mind, we might ask if the NSA was aware, more so than the students and the professor, of the unique and otherworldly nature of the settlement in New Mexico. What is also of interest, at least according to information that has surfaced in more recent times, is that many of the people involved in this ACIO investigation were scientists on private contracts worth around half a million dollars per year, which perhaps gives us an insight into how valuable they were to the project.

After this initial discreet investigation and fact-gathering mission, a unit comprised of NSA agents and ACIO employees was organized to investigate the location under a project code-named Ancient Arrow. They discovered for themselves the strange pictographs, as well as items of pottery. They also discovered many unique symbols at the settlement. They would spend a considerable amount of time attempting to decipher the symbols but were unable to do so. Ultimately, after just over a year, the project was shut down. The location, however, remained under the control of the NSA and the canyon was put off-limits to the general public. However, in the mid-1990s, there were further stunning revelations.

In 1994, several rockslides revealed further previously undiscovered sections of the settlement in the form of over 20 chamber-like rooms. Almost immediately, the NSA dispatched a team to investigate these uncovered chambers. As they investigated, they discovered that these chambers were all intricately designed, with each of them leading to a central location. They found further symbols carved into the walls of the chambers, with each room seemingly containing symbols specific and exclusive to that room. Of most interest, though, was the discovery of multiple technological devices, each of which they quickly took into their possession. They would report these initial findings to the one-time overseers of Project Ancient Arrow. A short time later, the project was made active once again.

The chambers were meticulously mapped out, with 23 being found in total. It was clear that advanced intelligence had been employed in the design and building of the chambers, and what’s more, each chamber – as the symbols suggested – appeared to serve a very specific function. Of most interest, though, was the suggestion that these “advanced people” seemingly shared the settlement with several Native American tribes of the region, quite literally living alongside them. Even more remarkable, based on the many different pottery remains discovered at the site, this cohabitation appeared to have lasted for thousands of years. The most mind-blowing discovery, though, was made in the final chamber – Chamber 23.

When scientists explored this 23rd chamber, they discovered a strange optical disc, almost identical to a modern compact disc. Initially, scientists believed that this disc was some kind of Rosetta Stone-like device, and so they concentrated on using it to find the meanings of the symbols at the settlement. However, despite their best efforts, they were unable to decipher even a single symbol. Then, though, they had a breakthrough. Two members of the team suggested using the artwork and symbols to unlock the disc, as opposed to the other way around. It was decided by the superiors of the project that the two scientists should test out their theory, although they would do so in secret, with an exact replica of the settlement built in an unknown location. Their work, while slow, would prove to be revealing.
