Science & Unusual experiences.

Paranormal experiences should be studied due to the profound effects that these experiences / encounters have on individuals and in some cases, groups of people and witnesses. [Rendlesham forest UFO incident being a prime example]
Such experiences can result in both positive and negative reactions, and can lead to significant changes in belief systems, which can determine how people conduct themselves and lead their lives. [Changes in psychological perspectives].
These experiences appear real, and a vital part of investigation and research involves attempting to understand how these experiences manifest themselves. There is a need to decipher if these `real` events are due to glamorous products of imagination, or to separate paranormal episodes which occur beyond our current level of understanding.

Paranormal experiences with all the categories and sub-categories, provides us with the opportunity to examine creation and reason. Yet much of the scientific community continues to deny its possible existence, and generally shuns the idea of alternative investigations.

Many of the scientific community are certain that all paranormal claims are invalid, without looking at the evidence which has been submitted to them. According to some scientists, all such claims of paranormal activity are the product of insanity, stupidity, or dishonesty. [The New York Times, 2003]
It cannot be denied that belief in the paranormal remains a global phenomenon, and the countless examples should clarify the need for serious scientific investigation, without fear of ridicule or repercussions.

It is not possible to verify accounts of alleged paranormal activity without investigation, and we cannot make assumptions about belief systems without looking at the causes and for this reason alone, paranormal experiences must be investigated.
